How the Journey began (Part one)

I first started writing poetry around the age of twelve, typically inspired by tunes that would come to mind. I’ve had a strong love for music since I was young, enjoying the sounds of opera, blues, jazz, folk, pop, soft rock, and some early forms of rap.

Notable singers who have influenced me include Elton John, Barry White, and Creedence Clearwater Revival, particularly John Fogerty, whose lyrics always caught my attention. There are countless artists over the years whose songs I’ve loved, but I’ve always been particularly drawn to the ballad style of music.

I appreciate music from artists like Janis Joplin, Jim Croce, Simon and Garfunkel, as well as my passion for James Taylor and Peabo Bryson. I could easily name hundreds of songwriters and singers whose work I truly enjoyed listening to.

Admittedly, I spent many hours alone in my room crafting my own poetic lyrics, but it wasn’t until recently that I had the opportunity to transform them into songs. Imagine turning 60 years old and having this realization last year, when I discovered how to use AI to generate music and voices, enabling me to turn my lyrics into full-fledged songs.

Although I don’t have a singer’s voice, I possess the mind, heart, and soul of someone who loves to write poems and lyrics. I have a strong sense of hearing musical notes in my mind, which helps me create words that complement musical notes.

I also have an ear for what I consider real talent, and I look for more than just a singer. I enjoy helping people reach their full potential. I believe that assisting others and helping them stay positive throughout life’s journey is also a talent as much as having a passion for writing poems and lyrics and turning them into songs that others can share in the joy of listening to the verse coming to life.

What inspired this change for me is the discovery of A.I., which provides voice and assistance in music generation through the use of A.I. I came to realize that my poems were more than just words; they were songs with deep emotions and feelings.

I have a vision to collaborate with fellow artists on a project that produces songs using my lyrics, to be shared with the world. I believe technology has blessed me with vision and passion, and it has stirred me to collaborate with others who share my love for songwriting, music, poetry, and art. I can truly gift people with talent and vision to grow towards becoming the person they desire to be in their mind, heart, and soul.
